The answer is… sort of.
Flight Attendants are trained how to act in an emergency situation. That includes how to direct passengers through the exits, and also how to operate all of the exit doors (including the over-wing exits.)
While the flight attendants will be obviously busy during an emergency evacuation, should they need to, they are trained to direct any exit row (or any other passenger) on what to do.
Honestly though, the best help you can give a flight attendant in an emergency evacuation is to get off the plane as quickly as possible and assist passengers outside.
