There was a time in my life where I actually came close to doing this out of necessity, so I’d happily do it again if someone sponsored me to do it.
That said, I believe the spirit of this question is presuming that one would end up like Morgan Spurlock in his 30 days documentary, which is all too often the case (as the reality of many parts of America is that their only true meal option is to live off the “dollar menus” at fast food chains to feed their family.)
When I was at my poorest, I couldn’t afford even McDonald “s – so I was spared that.
Instead, it was when I was traveling the country in my RV, and the only real option I had for meals on the road were truck stops.
Being fairly well educated, I scrutinized the menus to find the healthiest options presented (it ain’t the salads – nor the yogurt.)
I now have a full mental catalog of what to order from every fast food chain (McDonald “s included) so as to keep relatively healthy – and still taste good.
And it lets me feel ok for sneaking in those hash browns and some fries 😉
