As someone who has dealt with this situation herself since puberty that has caused the following incidents that would have been funny if they weren’t so humiliating:
- Airline captains that would move their chairs all the way forward so I would have to bend over almost 90 degrees to serve them their coffee.
- HR complaints about my attire filed “on behalf of married coworkers” (I kid you not) by an anonymous staff member
- Eyes that never seem to reach my face during a meeting
In some ways, working in tech got rid of all of that. Slap on a well-fitting bra, a T-Shirt and jeans and you’re just like everyone else. If you have a brain, people will listen to you. If you don’t, you don’t belong there.
If your bra fits properly, by the way, your “assets” will look more manageable.
