Based on everyone else’s answers, it appears that pretty much any industry is a candidate for disruption, which coincidentally is what I was going to say anyway (but it’s always nice to have the backup.)
That said, ones that I think will be disrupted in the near future are ones that can have their costs either reduced or eliminated entirely by further advancements in 3D printing.
In my estimation, those are:
Consumer Electronics
Toys
Hardware
Pharmaceuticals
Automotive
Fashion
Processed Foods
Sporting Goods
Assistive Medical
And, perhaps within the next 15 years we may even have approved widespread use of organ, tissue and dna printers within hospitals so we can disrupt the death industry as well.
