(Not public speaking, I mean just everyday conversation.)
I’m HORRIBLE. I sound like a 12 year old. It’s all “so, um, uh, like.” My writing is how I *think* I’m talking, and then when I hear myself, it’s disastrous.
Honestly, it’s terrifying.
It’s not all the time, either – there’s plenty of impromptu interviews with me where I’m talking quite sanely. But then there’s other times where I get all excited or tired or whatever and out comes the crazy Valley Girl.
One side effect is that at least I sound just as comfortable discussing Pokemon GO (is that still a thing) as I do talking about the Hyperloop.
