Upon meeting a certain VC for the first time:
“Based on your background, I was expecting Hillary Clinton, and here I have Katy Perry standing in front of me!” accompanied with a very enthusiastic grin.
This was followed up soon after with him interrupting me and saying “I can’t rationalize the things you are saying with the face of a millennial, I just can’t…”
I wanted to punch him, even though I’m a nonviolent person, but I couldn’t because it would have drawn more attention to it than he wanted.
I also think he was genuinely oblivious to causing me distress and thought he was paying me a compliment.
