Thanks for the A2A!
This is a classic entrepreneurial dilemma – “I have the desire, but I need someone else to convince me to act on it.”
Realistically, no on else can (or should) do that. Only you know what you are ready (or even want) to do – and if that happens to be “quit my job and start a business”, then you will do it.
There will always be reasons that you can come up with not to act on your wants and desires – and some may be more practical than others (you have a high paying job that brings you comfort, you have an upcoming wedding that will drain you emotionally) but in reality, every day each of us make choices for ourselves – and we use those reasons as a justification (ie: “I never started my business because I got married and had three lovely children so SOMEONE had to pay the mortgage…”)
As you are about to be married, my suggestion is to talk to your fiancé about your business dreams. Tell them your goals and include them in the choice. I have a feeling that once you have that conversation you will have convinced yourself to act, one way or the other, and actually have an action plan.
