Not knowing the flight attendant in question, I can’t speak with 100% certainty, however I would say that your chances of success are not great…
…but not for the reason you may think.
When you are complimenting someone (including asking them out), you should be focused on them. When they look at you, they should see a reflection of what you find interesting in them – their warmth, their smile, their beauty, their poise, what have you.
You should be confident enough in your own skin to enable them to be confident in theirs.
Your height doesn’t matter – if you want to ask someone out for coffee, make the ask about them.
