I love this question.
There are definitely times in every relationship when you don’t “like” your partner, be it because they’ve left the toilet paper roll empty one two many times, or they snored too much when you really needed to sleep in, or just for no reason at all.
The important thing is to keep letting them know that, despite whatever is going on with you that’s causing this friction, of course you still *love* them.
So, one thing that I do is simply *say* it. Not absentmindedly, or flatly, but deeply and with meaning. Look into their eyes, make a connection and say:
“I love you.”
I also show my love with cooking. I love to cook, it relaxes me, and it often gives my partner an opportunity to join in with me.
Additionally, I give them space when they need it. Understanding someone else “s needs and giving that is one of the most important ways you can show your love for someone else.
