The classwork is no different, whether you are male or female. And the teachers certainly don’t treat you any differently when it comes to grading.
The problem for some women is that you’re often the only one in a room (or program) full of men, who tend to have a different way of communicating than women. And I have been told anecdotally that it can be intimidating if you aren’t prepared for that.
I honestly found it the same as any other program – as long as you aren’t afraid to ask questions when you don’t understand something, get a core group of people to study with and just generally get your work done you’ll be fine.
