I don “t know if this counts, as I “d already finished the paperwork, but this was my announcement that I was leaving internally to Evernote:
Ave Atque Vale.
In the past 6 years, Evernote has grown exponentially.
When I joined the team, you could count the number of full-time employees on your fingers. We had less than half a million users. We were located in a mostly forgotten office in Sunnyvale, CA, and most of the customers (and press) still called it EverNote.
A lot has changed – its turned into a global company with over 100 million users, with offices worldwide, hundreds of employees, speaking (at least) 9 different languages, and multiple product lines – including actual physical goods.
(When I first got the call asking me to come work for Evernote back in 2008, I can honestly tell you I didn’t think we’d ever be selling backpacks and water bottles!)
On May 15, 1905, Las Vegas, Nevada was founded. It is therefore fitting that on May 15th, 2014, I am leaving Evernote to start a new journey, and to help shape the culture of that city.
I’m honored to have known and worked with you all. I wish everyone here continued success.
