Having lived in a bunch of RV parks in many different states – some for only a night while passing through – I can tell you without hesitation that my absolute favorite one is Fort Wilderness in Orlando, Florida.
The spots are secluded, and it lends itself to the overall magic of the place, where it is not uncommon to see displays like this on campsites at the holidays:
Every night, there is a singalong at the campfire:
For particularly warm days, there’s a great pool:
And there’s plenty of things to do, like this:
Of course, you are just a quick boat ride away from the Magic Kingdom, or bus/monorail from the rest of the parks. Whether you go to them or not, you are treated to fireworks every evening in a beautiful clear star-filled Sky.
It is the most peaceful place to be within the happiest place on earth. I enjoyed every minute of the months I lived there.
