One could say I am an intellectual person.
I am extremely comfortable “following” visionary leaders.
I am also comfortable leading other people toward that vision.
First, you need to determine where exactly your comfort level is. For me, I realized that I am happiest being in the “Benjamin Franklin” position – trusted advisor, free to come and go and invent and create, but not the one who is tied to the public.
Like the Quartermaster on a ship, you have the trust of the Captain and the Crew. You can freely exist in between both.
If that doesn’t sound appealing, and you truly don’t want to lead anyone at all, and want to be “crew”, then it goes to “what do you like doing” mixed with “what are you good at”? It could honestly be anything.
