I worked at Evernote from 2008-2014 as the Director of Technical Support.
I can honestly say that the most frustrating thing for me working there was not being able to do everything the customers wanted us to do for them. It was heart-wrenching for me to have to say no, we can’t do that because it isn’t in the overall plan.
Or, having to make a decision that one thing wasn’t as important as something else – how do you explain to someone that the thing that is making their world stop functioning doesn’t appear to matter to the company?
I can tell you, it did matter. It mattered to us.
