Having worked on both sides of the table (both in coaching teams to get ready for their pitch, and in analyzing teams for VCs), I have a pretty good handle on this one.
When they ask:
What’s to stop X from implementing Y?
What they want to hear is:
Confidence. Certainty. Maybe a little bit of cockiness (but not too much.)
They want to know that you are the solution they should back, and that you are the only team that matters.
