I think this would entirely depend on how well you knew your friend.
From what I understand, Tinder is basically used for random hookups, and not for anything serious.
For your friend to be the filter to pick someone out for you, that would require some serious trust.
That said, I believe it is common already for some people to set up accounts on dating sites in their friends names to get them “out there.”
If your friend is shy, this may be a good way to get them out.
I personally wouldn’t use it though. I’m married and the few single friends I have are not in the Tinder demographic.
