Find out if anyone actually wants the thing .

If there is interest, see if you can get upfront money from that channel, then build it.

For those wondering about toiletries (shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, etc), crew hotels provide those items.

As for reading material, whatever is not picked up from passengers, fellow crew members or hotel can be gotten easily on your phone (which is a required part of the uniform.)
