As a New Yorker, I have never been able to get used to the lack of regard for professional attire in Silicon Valley.
Yoga pants are everywhere.
A blazer, tshirt and a pair of rumpled jeans is considered “formal.”
That, and that people eat out so early. Dinner is like 6:00-7, 8 at the latest.
Restaurants routinely close at 10/10:30.
